    Submission by Email

    Hi,

I am having issues with submitting a form by email through a web browser. When the form is open in filler, the custom button that I created for it works fine, but when I click the button in a browser, I get the error message:

"The form cannot be submitted because of an error.
Click OK to resume filling out the form. You may want to check your form data for errors.
    Hide error details
An error occurred while using the form. For more information, contact the site administrator.

An entry has been added to the Windows event log of the server.
    Log ID:5567

    Correlation ID:6bdcf9e8-f6ab-4f02-83e7-d652063eda5e"

Any ideas to what may be going wrong? Or is there any other information I can provide to further explain the situation?

    Thank you.

    Here is the error message:

I searched the log files on the SharePoint server and came across this:

Would I have to configure the mail server, as described in this article?: Configuring Outgoing Email on SharePoint

     Again, thanks in advance.

You did not even mention in which context you are trying to use it.

In Sharepoint online (Office 365) you cannot send emails at all.

What is the Security and Trust level of the Infopath form that you run in browser and what is the authentication method used by your sharepoint server?

Right now the form is set to automatically determine the security level. Also, I am quite new to this - how can I see what authentication method is being used on the server? (It is not run by me, but I do have full access to it)
