How to prevent deletion of rows from a repeating table

    Hi,

I need to prevent users from deleting a row from a repeating table based on a condition, but allow them to insert new rows. I thought I could use conditional formatting of the repeating table, but that seems to disable both delete and insert functions.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Elena.

    hi Elena,

a workaround for this is, to have two section(section1, section2) on your form, drag your repeating table into both the sections, on section1 allow Remove, and on section2 dont allow Remove. now on your condition decide which section you want to show and which you want to hide.

Thank you for your replay. I tried what you suggested and the logic seems to be working great but only in the InfoPath viewer. Unfortunately, when form is displayed in a browser, the conditional formatting logic to hide the rows does not get executed in time and all rows are displayed twice every time a new row is inserted. Strangely, the logic gets executed when I hover over the rows. Am I missing something or this is expected behavior?

what is your condition on which you want to hide.

it would be better if you can attach the template here and let me have a look at it and find out what is wrong with it
