I created a InfoPath which sends out an email and would like to have “Send” button with default index so that the forms gets submitted successfully.

Could you please guide me or direct me to the resource or KB which details on how to adjust the default index on email message popup in InfoPath form.

Hi -- Sorry I was slow to notice this. You could add the code to your Submit Request event, I suppose. You can check the Errors.Count to see if there are validation errors before sending the email.

Hi Hilary,

Thank you for your truly enlightening post. I have tried the steps above and it works for me. There is one bit I would like you to help with.

My form has got a Submit button which sends email when clicked. The issue is that email is sent even if the form has not been submitted successfully; for example if all mandatory fields have not been filled. Which event does the email code above need to be moved to so that when the button is clicked, email is sent only if the form has been fully validated (with no errors)?
